3D printing makes complex developments and designs possible, which opens up a new world for tool innovations, due to the greatly enlarged design freedom and the fact that design complexity is no longer directly related to manufacturing costs. Thermally optimized parts produced by 3D printing of metal, is ideal for cutting tools because of its enhanced properties. We recognize the potential of this technology and aim to be at the forefront of developing the next generation of thread cutting tools using new materials which 3D printing allows.

We have worked with proto types of 3D printed tools since 2013 and have the knowhow and technical expertise within the production methods. Our facilities in Hvidovre include a well equipped metal work shop with a testing laboratory and equipment for all subsequent processing. We conduct sharpening and polishing in house before testing.

Thürmer Tools has been working within the thread cutting tool business for over a century and has a great history of serving the marked leading industries within Scandinavia. We are regarded as specialists and our engineers have a profound knowledge within this niche of production.
